She was an artist, guitar player and model.

Posed for Manet ‘s teacher Thomas Couture but they probably never met in his studio

In her 50 ‘s (1890 ‘s) she was seen begging around Paris playing a guitar with a monkey on her shoulders. She was last seen in 1892 although a mysterious note: stuck to one of her pictures said Deceased 1920 which would have meant she lived to about 80.
