In June 1996, Bob Morton became chairman of Harrier Group. In the same year the Company recognised that there was an opportunity to utilise its expertise by concentrating on specific areas within the IT industry. To accommodate this the group was restructured into two core sectors.
Harrier Network Solutions (HNS)- offering customised Internet and network security solutions. Harrier Storage Solutions (HSS) - an integrator of data protection and storage management solutions.
In November 1999 Harrier Group floated on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange (AIM), the company is currently the only network security and storage management integrator to have floated in the UK.
At the beginning of 2000 the Company moved to new customer oriented offices that provided the company with additional facilities including a demonstration suite, dedicated labs, and a managed services suite. The larger accommodation enabled the Company to increase its staff of highly qualified consultants allowing the company to continue the development of a new range of professional services. The new office also provided space to enlarge the company's already excellent training facilities.
In March 2000 the Company acquired ReNet Ltd, an IT consultancy and support company, this added companies such as Citrix to the Company's already extensive list of strategic relationships with manufacturers.
The acquisition of Zeuros Ltd, a network and Internet security company, in April 2000 reaffirmed the Company's position as a market leader in Internet and network security in the UK and provided the company with a Managed Data Centre, based in Hook, Hampshire.
In May 2000 Harrier Group amalgamated the operations of its four subsidiaries, HNS, HSS, ReNet and Zeuros to form a new company HarrierZeuros Ltd. The combined technical expertise and resource enables the Company to provide its clients with leading edge solutions to secure and enable e-business.
In November 2000, David Cheesman Chief Operating Officer of Harrier Group and founder of Zeuros was appointed Chief Executive Officer.
In January 2002 Harrier Group plc acquired IKAN, a small consultancy practise providing business continuity and operational risk services. IKAN was launched to the UK Market as a two tier provider of training, risk and business continuity services in April 2002
